2012 Fall Mixed Sale
It’s an exciting time for Quarter Horse racing in the State of Iowa. The passage of the gambling bill, Senate File 526, insures that Quarter Horse Racing at Prairie Meadows is here to stay. It not only set a minimum number of racing days each year for Quarter Horses but also insured a very good purse structure which will rise annually with the implementation of advanced deposit wagering (ADW) and the new hotel, which opened in March. It is a great time to own an Iowa-Bred and to be racing at Prairie Meadows.
The Iowa Quarter Horse Racing Association will once again be hosting the Fall Mixed Horse Sale. This year’s sale is September 8, 2012 at the Iowa State Fair Grounds in Des Moines, Iowa. The catalog consignment deadline is July 16, 2012.
Quarter Horse yearlings that are consigned as of the catalog deadline and pass through the sale ring will be eligible for the $37,500 added 2013 IQHRA Fall Sale Futurity.
